LEA COLLIVA
Contemporary Artist and Woman Against the Current
Fifty years after her death, the Museo Ottocento Bologna is dedicating a major monographic exhibition to Lea Colliva (1901-1975), a secretive and surprising artist and woman.
For the first time, her character and long artistic career are explored: from her training with Flavio Bertelli,
to the Venice Biennale, to her teaching position at the Academy of Fine Arts, and her relationship with her brother-in-law Nino Bertocchi.
The woman artist who was awarded the honor of Cavaliere Ufficiale of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in Bologna.
